Nick Heys Recaps the Microsoft Startup Roadshow
Fifteen alumni of the Microsoft Accelerator program hit the road for the first Microsoft Startup Roadshow. The five-day event in Seattle and Silicon Valley happened from June 13-17, 2016. Azalead was selected by Microsoft as one of 15 of the world’s most promising startups (out of almost 500).
Here’s a recap sent to the Azalead Team from our CEO, Nick Heys on June 16, 2016.
A quick update on Microsoft Startup Roadshow.
As some of you know, Azalead was selected by Microsoft as one of 15 of the world’s most promising start-ups (out of almost 500).
On Monday and Tuesday, we toured Silicon Valley where I held 8 “speed dating” sessions with investors. The investors were impressed by our vision for automating ABM, and the quality of our client base. We also met with TechCrunch and Slack.
Now we are in the Redmond headquarters until Saturday.
Yesterday, I met with the Head of MS Dynamics CRM, Jujhar Singh, who liked our integration with MS Dynamics and suggested we also integrate with an upcoming multi-channel marketing orchestration tool.
We had a speed dating session with Microsoft customers, and this has led to some great leads.
Last night we met with Microsoft board members where we discussed the Linkedin acquisition. I think this will really help Microsoft compete better in the sales and marketing cloud.
This morning we met with Scott Guthrie, head of Azure and Business Applications who convinced me that we made the right choice in selecting Azure as an Enterprise SaaS company.
Enterprise customers prefer Azure hosted ISV’s over AWS and Google for security and global/local data residency. I learned that there will be a new Azure marketplace for SaaS companies like Azalead coming up next month; and Microsoft will be announcing more integrations for MS Dynamics in Toronto in July. Azalead will be there!
I met with another MS Dynamics executive, Dianne O’Brien and later with Satya Nadella, CEO who really impressed us about his commitment to supporting ISV’s and Startups.
The Microsoft Startup Roadshow is great for preparing our international launch and in strengthening our partnership with Microsoft.
We are building a great company!
